sold
The Demetrio system relies on the stackability of tables, intended to form shelves. It was designed by Vico Magistretti in 1964 (produced in 1966). Demetrio is the result of his older T8 model for Acuzena (1954) subjected to the new plastic aesthetic preferences of the 1960s. Made of a single cast of glass fibers mixed with polyester resins, the Demetrio by Magistretti is an example of a design of which the shape is primarily dictated by the technical possibilities offered by the material. In contrast to the wooden T8 model, all curves and folds are determined by the physical character of plastic, keeping in mind the demountable structure of the stackable shelves.
