Papillon lounge chairs by Guido Maria Rosati for Giovannetti, Italy, 1972

available

These rare Papillon lounge chairs are the perfect addition to a bright living room, bringing playful comfort and versatility to the space. With their butterfly-inspired silhouette and gorgeous green leather upholstery, they are the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation.

Designed by Guido Maria Rosati for Giovannetti in the 1970s, these chairs showcase the work of a somewhat underappreciated designer from Abruzzo, who also collaborated with Guzzini. His designs feature adjustable and movable elements, making them both practical and visually striking. The seat and backrest are identical in size, allowing them to be flipped and used interchangeably.

Exceptionally comfortable, these chairs invite you to read your book or engage in conversation with the person sitting next to you. The green leather is very unique and in perfect condition, and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite finds.
