Learning from Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton became one of the leading figures of post-war Danish design. He is known for his innovative use of colour and plastic, and the moulding of the latter in creative shapes resulting in futuristic designs. Designs that in their fluidity create a sense of calmness. Just like the iconic Panthella lamp that by its shape as well as by its way of diffusing light conveys a sweet kind of serenity.
