sold

Something north of the Italian city of Verona, this world-famous type of marble is quarried. They do it differently here than in Carrara. Blocks are extracted from the mountains through shafts.

Rosso Verona marble has been used for centuries. A beautiful example of its fame is the balcony in Verona where Romeo addresses Juliet with his declaration of love. Also, in the Basilica of San Marco in Venice and in the baptistery of Parma, a lot of Rosso Verona is used with other materials.
